Scuba Diving

Scuba Diver

This is your chance to slap on some fins, strap on a mask and experience an intense adventure in a short amount of time.

PADIBe a PADI Scuba Diver
The PADI Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry level certification. If you only plan to dive several times a year, it's a quick and easy program designed especially for you!
As a subprogram of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimizing time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher professional on your next vacation or dive trip

Prerequisite requirement
In good physical condition, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a Scuba Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program available. Minimum age: 10

Course requirement
Throughout the course, you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing pool dives, knowledge development sessions and by making two open water (ocean or lake) dives.

Course duration
PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Open Water Diver

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular dive program in the world! To get started on your adventure with PADI - the dive company that sets the standards in the global diving community.

PADIBe a PADI Open Water Diver
It the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, you may have credit from these courses in applying for the open water program.

Prerequisite requirement
In good physical condition, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water, you can then earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available. Minimum age: 10

Course requirement

Adventures in DivingAdventure Diver

The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification.

PADIBe an Adventure Diver
You can sample three dives of your choice, underwater photography, wreck diving ... get a taste of what you like. Strengthening your underwater skills and letting you enjoy diving more than ever.

Prerequisite requirement
PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization) Minimum age: 15 (10 for PADI Junior Adventure Diver)

Course requirement
You need to complete 3 of the following Adventure Dives:

Specialties available to divers 10-year-old and older:

  • AWARE-Fish Identification Underwater Naturalist
  • Boat Underwater Navigator
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • Underwater Photography

Additional Specialties Available to divers 12-year-old and older:

Advanced Open Water Diver

The Adventures in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. If you complete five Adventure Dives, including Deep Adventure Dive and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

PADIBe an Advanced Open Water Diver
You'll be more experienced and better understand the underwater environment after your five dives. You'll feel comfortable in the water and enjoy diving more.

Prerequisite requirement
PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization) Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)

Course requirement
You need to complete five Adventure Dives, including the Deep Adventure dive, the Underwater Navigator Adventure Dive and three of the following:

  • Altitude Diver Boat Diver
  • AWARE Fish Identification Wreck Diver
  • Drift Diver Deep Diver
  • Dry Suit Diver Dive Propulsion Vehicle
  • Multilevel Diver Night Diver
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy Search and Recovery
  • Underwater Naturalist Underwater Videographer
  • Underwater Photographer Underwater Navigator

Rescue Diver PakRescue Diver

PADIBe a PADI Rescue Diver
The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level. You'll then learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.

Prerequisite requirement
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
Minimum age: 15 (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver)
Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months
Course requirement
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies.

During the 5 open water sessions, you'll cover:

  • dive accident scenarios
  • dive first aid
  • emergency management and equipment
  • egress (exits)
  • first aid procedures for pressure related accidents
  • in water artificial respiration
  • missing diver procedures
  • panicked diver response
  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • surfacing the unconscious diver
  • swimming and non-swimming assists
  • underwater problems
Course duration
Recommended Course Hours: 25 hours
Minimum Open Water Training: 5 sessions over two days
